C. Ian McLaren is a Foothills School Division school located in the community of Black Diamond. We are approximately a half-hour southwest of Calgary, nestled in the foothills of Alberta at the base of the Rocky Mountains. Our school is named after Ian McLaren who was a teacher and principal here for 35 years. We are a Kindergarten to Grade Six Inclusionary/Multi-age school.
